Learning with special educational needs

Creating a learning journey that will work for a child with special educational needs is an important part of unlocking their potential. ‘Personalised learning’ will give a child the foundations on which to build a lifetime of acquiring knowledge and skills.

What is a personalised SEN learning journey?

We invited to this Abbey School podcast, our Deputy Principal Kelly Holloway, Assistant Principal Kirsty Keyburn, and Dr Corrina Grindle – Associate Professor at the Centre of Educational Development, Appraisal and Research (CEDAR) at The University of Warwick. Together we explore what we mean by a ‘personalised learning journey’ and look at the life changing impact this can have on a pupil’s learning experience.
